How to export your photos from Spyne (and move to VehiclePhoto)
Bring the usable edited files with you, preserve their source companions, and test a small replacement workflow before changing access. Spyne documents downloads of completed edits in two standard image formats, so the core task is a careful inventory rather than a speculative integration.
Ownership
What you own
“The User retains all rights, title, and interest in and to all data, content, images, call recordings, voice transcripts, and materials uploaded or otherwise provided by the User (‘Customer Data’). Spyne does not acquire any ownership rights in Customer Data.”Read the published terms
This clause speaks to uploaded customer data and does not mention processed output, so ask support to confirm the rights and permitted future use of edited images before relying on those files after cancellation.
Export
Get your images
Spyne’s public FAQ describes the last action after editing: download the edited image as PNG or JPG. It does not publish a bulk-export sequence in the cited material, so repeat the documented download for every result you need and track completion yourself.
- Save each edited image. After an edit is finished, download that result in PNG or JPG format. Store it under the matching vehicle folder and mark it on your inventory sheet before continuing to the next result. Source
VehiclePhoto
Move into VehiclePhoto
Treat format and organization as separate decisions. JPG is convenient for most finished galleries, while a PNG may matter when an exported result includes transparency. Keep either form at its original downloaded quality, group it with the corresponding untouched source, and select the VehiclePhoto intake path that avoids extra conversion.
- Bulk uploader. Open a listing, then drag and drop the image set into the bulk uploader. Individual images and folders can enter together, and the original files remain untouched.
- ZIP uploader. Choose a ZIP archive when the export arrives as one package. The uploader expands supported image files so you can check the listing before processing begins.
- REST API v1 ingest. For files already hosted at HTTPS URLs, send each URL to /api/v1/ingest with a REST API v1 key instead of downloading and uploading it by hand.
- Phone-capture QR handoff. When a missing angle needs a new photo, open phone capture on a computer and scan its QR handoff. The phone adds that image to the same work without a separate app.
Migration boundary
What carries over
Nothing automatic — there is no Spyne connector. Downloaded pixels can move, but Spyne projects, edit status, image ordering, presets, integrations, and account history do not arrive with them. Name folders deliberately and save a simple sequence list if the current gallery order matters.
Final check
Before you cancel
- Ask Spyne to confirm whether edited outputs remain yours to use after the agreement ends. The published ownership language covers Customer Data and does not mention processed output. Source
- Create a two-column register for source and edited filenames. A one-to-one map prevents a polished result from becoming detached from the original needed for future corrections.
- Decide whether PNG transparency is actually required before converting anything. Keep downloaded files intact; additional compression or format changes can wait until a destination has a known requirement.
- Check pixel dimensions and orientation on several downloads, including portrait-like interior angles. This catches an incomplete save or an accidental preview image before current access changes.
- Run one folder through VehiclePhoto and compare the complete gallery in order. Approve the migration method only after exterior, interior, detail, and disclosure images remain correctly associated.
FAQ
Questions
Which Spyne formats can I download?
Spyne’s FAQ says an edited image can be downloaded as PNG or JPG. Preserve the file exactly as delivered, note which format was selected, and avoid converting the archive merely to make every extension match.
Does Spyne offer bulk export?
Spyne’s FAQ gives no bulk-export steps. The documented path is the PNG or JPG download for an edited image. Ask support for a complete bulk package if individually saving every required result is impractical.
Can the new gallery match?
Use one downloaded set as the visual target. VehiclePhoto can provide clean backgrounds, consistent framing, branding, and privacy blur, but settings do not transfer; compare each choice against the reference before applying it broadly.
