How to export your photos from Optifo (and move to VehiclePhoto)

Recover the published copies already flowing to your destination, preserve them beside any original camera files, and prove every vehicle is complete. Optifo’s public material describes automatic transfer to a DMS or website rather than a separate archive download, so those delivered copies are the documented export path.

Optifo says images are transferred automatically and published online through an API integration with a DMS or website. Optifo’s page does not describe a separate download console; use the DMS or website copy as the documented way out.

1. Recover delivered copies. Identify the images Optifo transferred to the connected DMS or website, then export or download those destination copies using that system’s own controls. Match each recovered listing to its vehicle record before removing current access. Source

VehiclePhoto

Move into VehiclePhoto

Destination copies can differ from camera originals in size, naming, or compression. Keep any source photographs you already control, label the recovered online versions separately, and choose the highest-quality usable file for a trial. VehiclePhoto can then establish a consistent new presentation from that verified input.

1. Bulk uploader. Open a listing, then drag and drop the image set into the bulk uploader. Individual images and folders can enter together, and the original files remain untouched.
2. ZIP uploader. Choose a ZIP archive when the export arrives as one package. The uploader expands supported image files so you can check the listing before processing begins.
3. REST API v1 ingest. For files already hosted at HTTPS URLs, send each URL to /api/v1/ingest with a REST API v1 key instead of downloading and uploading it by hand.
4. Phone-capture QR handoff. When a missing angle needs a new photo, open phone capture on a computer and scan its QR handoff. The phone adds that image to the same work without a separate app.

What carries over

Nothing automatic — there is no Optifo connector. The photographs you recover from the DMS or website can move, but Optifo app state, publication rules, API configuration, credit information, and editing setup do not. VehiclePhoto does not push the replacement files back into a DMS.

Before you cancel

• Confirm which destination actually receives each vehicle. Optifo names DMS and website transfer; a listing visible on one destination should not be assumed to exist in the other. Source
• Export the destination’s original stored file when that control exists, not a browser screenshot or resized thumbnail. Record the pixel dimensions so lower-resolution copies are easy to spot.
• Ask for ownership, output rights, retention, and direct archive availability in one written request. Optifo’s Danish page does not state them.
• Preserve vehicle identifiers before detaching any connection. Destination filenames may not carry enough information to rebuild a large library once the record association disappears.
• Complete a VehiclePhoto trial set and download its output before changing the old workflow. Compare crop, image order, branding, and clarity at the actual destination size.
