360° spin

A 360° spin is an interactive viewer, built from a sequence of photos taken around a vehicle, that lets a shopper drag or tap to rotate it and look at it from any angle.

Instead of a fixed gallery a shopper clicks through one photo at a time, a 360° spin stitches a full loop of exterior photos into one interactive viewer — drag left or right (or tap arrows on mobile) and the vehicle rotates smoothly on screen, the closest a web page gets to walking around the vehicle yourself.

Building one used to mean a turntable rig or a very careful, evenly spaced hand-held shoot — miss an angle or space the shots unevenly and the spin stutters or jumps.

Spins can carry hotspots — small tappable markers placed on specific frames — to call out a feature (a sunroof, a trim package) or, just as honestly, to point out a scuff or a dent so it isn’t a surprise later. They embed on a dealer’s own VDP or on a marketplace listing with a small snippet of code, the same way an image or a video would.

Questions

360° spin, answered.

Do I need a turntable to build a 360° spin?

No. Photos taken at evenly spaced points around the vehicle are enough.

Can a 360° spin show damage as well as features?

Yes — hotspots on a spin can point out a feature or flag a scuff or dent just as easily, which keeps the spin honest instead of only ever highlighting the good angles.

VehiclePhoto handles this automatically — clean backgrounds, matching angles, privacy masking, and grounded listing copy, built from the photos you already have.
